The day's agenda will include presentations from IT specialists and major players in the industry including Matt Asay from the Open Road blog on and Simon Phipps, chief open source officer at Sun Microsystems, who will share best practices for working with lower budgets and smaller teams, whilst still delivering high results.

Red Hat customers, including Trafigura Ltd, an international commodities trader, will provide real-life examples of the benefits of using open source technologies. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to network and speak one-on-one with peers and speakers.

Phil Andrews, regional director of UK and Ireland, Red Hat, said "During the current economic climate organisations now recognise the value proposition of cost effective, high-return open source solutions.
