This session will give an overview of Microsoft’s Cloud Computing Platform offering, Windows Azure, and will explain what’s included in Windows Azure and the Windows Azure application Fabric and why these developments important to customers of various sizes, ranging from small Independent software Vendors (ISVs) to larger Enterprises.



Some Use Cases for Windows Azure will be explored and the pricing model.  


The session will show how to get started with the Toolkit and get some sample applications deployed to the Platform.


Attendence is free but you do need to register and the talk will take place at the Imperial Hotel, South Mall, Cork



Cormac Keogh

Cormac is the Architect Evangelist in the Developer and Platform Group in Microsoft Ireland. Cormac’s focus areas are Windows Azure, Web  and Service Oriented Architecture and ensuring the IT Architect community in Ireland are aware of the Microsoft platform.  This means working with ISVs and Enterprise customers on projects to help them understand how the technology can bring additional value. Cormac has 20 years industry experience in development, management and business development roles working with Microsoft , IBM and various startups.
