Join the Irish Software Developers Network's special guest Drew Robins from Microsoft as he takes you round a fast lap around Windows 8. Drew will demonstrate C++, C# and Javascript languages, developing for Windows 8 Metro Apps......all in One Hour! And that leaves plenty of time for live coding, chat and beers and pizza courtesy of our partner ESET Antivirus, Safetica, and software recruiters A People Recruitment.
Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, and one of its most exciting features is the Metro interface that is designed for touchscreen input similar to that in Windows Phone and on the Xbox 360. Windows 8 has been “reimagined from the chipset to the user experience” to connect more with the user and Drew Robbins will tell us why!
Drew Robbins, Global Director of Windows 8 Evangelism, is a Technical Evangelist with Microsoft focused on Visual Studio and the .NET Framework. He's spoken to audiences around the world on building applications that leverage the latest developer technologies from Microsoft. In his role at Microsoft, he helps customers understand the latest innovations in Visual Studio and the .NET Framework.

Seating for this intimate and free event is to 50 people, and therefore preference is given to those who most closely align to the event's content, in order in pres-registration.
