Join tcube. McGargles and John Turner for the opening of Tech Meetup Space @tcubedublin

Tech Meetup Space @tcubedublin is a collaboration between Dublin's tech user and meetup groups. It provides an intimate and regular, city centre venue for members to come along and hear presentation from the very best tech evangelists available.

Tonight, Thursday 21st May, is our very first session in our Westmoreland Street venue, and sees DevOps evangelist John Turner present....

DevOps Adoption Patterns

While DevOps is still riding high on a peak of inflated expectations, a number of patterns of adoption are starting to emerge. The conceptual definition of Agile made it difficult to embrace until frameworks such as Scrum became popular. In this same way, the theoretical and visionary definition of DevOps is creating a barrier to entry for those eager to realise its benefits.

Fear not, for there are brave soles who have gone before us that we can strive to emulate!

Join us to talk about some of the ways in which people are 'doing DevOps’.

About John @MonkeyLittle_

John has been building, deploying and running enterprise software systems since 1999. Having been a seasoned campaigner for the adoption of Agile he has welcomed the emergence of complementary culture and practice in the infrastructure and operations space with open arms.

Recent experiences of realising the benefits of DevOps through Continuous Delivery and Platform as a Service have given him invaluable insight into the opportunities and challenges ahead.

And then there's McGargle's

Along with John's high octane presentation, McGargle's craft beer from the the Rye River Brewing Company will be flowing.

If you work CIO level in the software space and have a particular interest in DevOps practices, then this is an evening that will not only help you define software production in today's new age, but will also help you position yourself in acquiring talent.
