Our client currently has a career opportunity for a Consultant/ Senior Consultant within their Technology Integration team. The purpose of this role is to help clients realise the business value from IT and avoid the many pitfalls. Working on multiple projects, you will be continually encouraged to devise innovative solutions, to help our clients manage and deliver the operational elements of technology. You will develop your skill set across industry sectors as you work on diverse and varied projects, helping our clients transform or develop their technology strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to progress in their career.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of key transformation projects focusing on IT infrastructure, networks, process and organisation.
- Software design and development (JEE / .Net) to deliver innovative solutions to client needs
- Playing a key role in planning and managing projects as required, meeting all deadlines and completing assignments in a timely manner.
- Learning and using agile developmental techniques.
- Learning and exploiting cloud computing technologies.
- Working on the development of client bids and presentations of proposals.
- Working within a team to present reports, business cases and client deliverables.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 3-4 years demonstrated industry experience in one or more of the following:
- Systems Analysis & Design;
- Programming - .Net or JEE highly desirable;
- J2EE, Struts, Hibernate.
- Object Orientated Design;
- Software Development techniques - agile highly desirable;
- Java Technologies;
- XML, XSLT;
- Microsoft Technologies - SharePoint Integration & Reporting Services, Microsoft Azure platform highly desirable;
- Cloud Computing Technologies - particularly Salesforce.com;
- Database Design, Development & Administration - Oracle, SQL Server in particular;
- Development Experience in Multiple Operating Systems;
- Implementation of Software Patterns;
- Web Design and Development;
- Enterprise Service Bus;
- BPEL.
Education, Experience and Personal Skills
- Third level qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
- Excellent oral/written communication, planning, project management, networking and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Strong analytical skills and logical approach.
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
