System Video Moves To Opera II

New Accounting System Has Cut Costs And Made Staff Happier at Ireland's AV Leader  

Irish audiovisual presentation equipment leader System Video has implemented  the Pegasus Opera II accounting system which has enabled  the company to cut  its costs by 15%, by giving it better access to information.

Established in 1978 by Tom Carroll, System Video is the Irish market leader in Audio Visual presentation equipment. It employs 30 people at the company's offices and warehouse in Dublin's Palmerstown district who design, supply, install and maintain fully integrated audio, lighting and room control systems for  boardrooms, conference venues, and  other corporate, government, home, hotel and leisure projects.

The company recently upgraded to the  Pegasus Opera II accounting system giving  System Video  better access to information,  and resulting in significant financial savings.

"The new system is easy to use, it has better functionality and makes more information available to the team. It also allows us to store data neatly and, ultimately our staff are happier," said System Video Managing Director David Carroll.

"System Video's experience of upgrading to Opera II is consistent with our other users," said Carmelisa Dunne, business development manager with Pegasus.

"Opera II is more than just an upgrade but rather a new product that builds on the old, allowing companies like System Video, to manage their businesses in a more intuitive and timely manner.

"We were delighted to be able demonstrate the business case  for Opera II to System Video and to ultimately have a successful install and a happy client,"  said Dunne.

Carroll explains:  "We have been using Opera for over 11 years. We purchased the initial system as part of an IT fit out when we moved into our present premises in Palmerstown. We looked at a number of packages and selected Opera for its great level of support and service."
