Irish Times Cancels Guy Kawasaki Spotlight Event Due to Volcano Cloud
The Irish Times has regretfully cancelled lthe Irish Times Spotlight event that was due to take place in the Mansion House at 2pm this Friday, 23 April, as the international guest speaker, Guy Kawasaki, can't travel from the US to Ireland because of the Icelandic Volcano cloud and its effects on air travel.
The Irish Times is in the process of refunding all ticket holders and will reschedule the Irish Times Spotlight event for later in the year.
Friday's Spotlight business seminar was planned as the first of a series bringing leading Irish entrepreneurs together with high profile international guest speakers.
Guy Kawasaki is managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm and a columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine.
Kawasaki established his professional reputation as a software evangelist at Apple Computer Inc. in the 1980s. Heis the author of nine books including The Art of the Start, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy, Selling the Dream, and The Macintosh Way.
He now counts blogger, venture capitalist, author and speaker amongst his credentials.

Kawasaki was to be joined at the event by Irish entrepreneurs John Dunne, Chief Marketing Officer at Intune Networks, Santina Doherty, VP Commercial Development, Hostelworld.com, the flagship brand of Web Reservations International and WeedleCEO Iain MacDonald.
It was to have been moderated by former RTE Prime Time presenter Mark Little.
