Novosco Wins Cisco Datacentre Gong

Company’s UCS Accreditation & All-Ireland Approach Help it to Do More With Less

Belfast-based Novosco, one  of Ireland’s leading suppliers of  virtual & cloud cloud-based IT infrastructure and network services, has beaten stiff competition to win Cisco Ireland's Data Centre Partner of the Year Award for 2010. Novosco is the first, and still the only, Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) technical solutions and sales accredited partner in Ireland.

Cisco Ireland Channel Partner Manager Owen McAllister said: “Novosco has demonstrated a willingness to challenge the traditional method of server based computing. Their adoption of the UCS platform as well as their knowledge of cloud based computing and their strong customer relationships throughout Ireland, makes them the obvious choice for this award in 2010.”

McAllister said the factors contributing to Novosco's successes were the company’s focus on the provision of V-Block service offerings to its customer base, and delivering these solutions throughout the whole of Ireland.

Novosco has won a number of high profile UCS contracts in recent months, including the delivery of the first public sector UCS environment in the UK and the largest public sector UCS deployment in Europe.

Novosco’s DataCentre Architect Solutions’ Practice is underpinned by the DataCentre 3.0 vision extolled by the key technology partners of the VCE Coalition.

Th VCE approach, coupled with Novosco's experience of the Cisco UCS platform, of EMC’s storage offerings and VMware’s Cloud Operating System allows it to provide customers  with innovative, flexible and dynamic IT environments at competitive prices.
