Irish Antivirus & Security Distributor Achieves Over Four Times the Average of Year-on-Year Growth On Euro Counterparts
ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, last week announced its growth figures for some 40 ESET distributors in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and ESET Ireland is occupying the top position beating top contenders like the Netherlands, Russia and UK, having achieved over 4 times the average of other EMEA ESET distributors based on year on year growth.
Initially a Wexford based distributor, ESET Ireland now has two offices in Wexford and Dublin, and over 450 reseller partners for the range of ESET security products all over Ireland.
ESET is a global provider of IT security solutions for corporate and home customers, and develops software solutions that deliver instant, comprehensive protection against evolving computer security threats. ESET pioneered and continue to lead the industry in proactive threat detection.
ESET Ireland’s growth for last year was 35% up on previous years sales, and has seen significant increase in corporate business area where companies are moving away from the traditional solutions in light of greater pressure to re-evaluate costs and get better performance from existing hardware, as ESET software has a proven record of top detection combined with lightest footprint in the industry.
While always being recognized and respected by IT professionals for its ease of use and excellent protection, ESET has been a bit under the radar of the average home user, due to a lesser emphasis on advertising than some of the competing products. But the steady growth of the market share and in the Irish example even a very steep climb shows that with dedication, quality and top customer care a positive change can be made and recession can be beaten
ESET Smart Security, the full suite that includes ESET NOD32 Antivirus, an integrated personal firewall and spam filter, most popular with notebook users, now constitutes 25% of all ESET product sales, in part due to increased notebook sales and increased corporate awareness of a greater need to protect mobile devices and in part due to a greater recognition of the brand among the home user market and retail outlets.
