Mamut Enterprise Brings Online Trading And Greater Transparency To Mayo Engineering Firm
Co Mayo-based Focus Engineering has invested in Mamut's business software package Mamut Enterprise, a move which has enabled it to integrate its sales systems, improve the traceability of orders and project materials and begin an online trading operation.
Focus Engineering, based near Swinford in Mayo, specialises in industrial automation and electrical engineering projects throughout Ireland.
Focus Engineering decided to invest in a new software and services package after business growth highlighted the need for a more automated approach to its IT infrastructure.
Focus has found that the Mamut solution has significantly increased the speed of its quotation and sales processes, freeing valuable time for employees to be more productive.
The company has also improved efficiencies within the company, with the software allowing management to trace all time spent with clients and all of the materials being used in projects. Engineers can even input their timesheets while on the road, which saves them making unnecessary trips back to the office.
Focus Engineering managing director Des Foley said: "Mamut's software has enabled us to do all we needed in one solution, from generating quotations and sales orders, to dealing with purchasing and invoicing our customers.
"I get faster access to more up-to-date management information than I have ever had - and I can even do this from home.
"We have improved our efficiencies and we know on a day to day, if not hour by hour basis, what level of service and time input we are giving to each of our clients, at the click of a mouse," Foley said.
Focus recently added its own e-commerce website, hosted and secured by Mamut, which enables the firm to sell automation equipment and supplies in Ireland and abroad.
Foley found the function within Mamut Enterprise a cost effective solution to allow the company to compete in the global market place.
