Online Video Tool Provider Announces the Appointment of Shane Barron
Sonru, the Wexford based automated online video tool company, has appointed Shane Barron as Technical Services Engineer from Unum, an American startup company based in Carlow. In his new position, Mr. Barron will be the primary point of contact with Sonru's existing and potential customers' technical function.
Shane is well accustomed to the start-up world having spent most of his working life in start-up enterprises. He has significant experience in the web development area - with particular expertise in developing large-scale ecommerce websites. After graduating from DCU in 2001 with a BSc. in Computer Applications, he began his career in Eureka, a Wexford software development house. Two years later he became a lead developer with Ray Nolan's hostelworld.com, before moving on to Unum's global software centre of excellence. He has also developed his own online business, perfumeireland.com, which is thought to be one of the top beauty web-stores in Ireland.
Sonru provide secure, shareable video interviews and can be used anywhere that remote video can bring efficiencies to a business process such as the Recruitment, Education, Training and CRM sectors. The company has won numerous awards in 2010 including New Business of the Year at Wexford Business Awards, the IIA's Innovation Award, Best of Breed iGap (Internet Growth Acceleration Programme), Innovate!100 Pitch Slam Dublin and Bank of Ireland Bright Ideas Challenge Grand Final.
