Co-founder of Irish Technology Leaders Group To Concentrate on Growing Investment Fund For Irish Companies
IrishDev.com has learnt that John Hartnett, one of the founders of the Irish Technology Leadership Group, has left his position in G24 to work full time at the ITLG.
Born in Limerick, Hartnett was CEO at solar company G24 for less than two years, and prior to that was VP of worldwide sales at Palm Inc. Hartnett will now concentrate on growing the $100 million venture fund attached to its recently opened Irish Innovation Center in San Jose.
Hartnett founded the Irish Technology Leadership Group along with senior Irish executives in Silicon Valley to help with investment in Ireland, and it is thought that Enterprise Ireland initially funded the set up.
Hartnett told Silicon Valley Biz Blog: "The center is my passion and it's what I've been driving at," "We're really only at the start of the process in selecting cream of the crop companies. We're taking a very targeted approach.
