Sonru's Latest Board Member Signals its Imminent Intention to Expand to International Markets

Sonru, the Wexford based automated online video tool company, has appointed Fiona O'Sullivan to their Board as a non executive director, signalling its intention to expand in the near future.

O'Sullivan is a co-founder and director of human resources company Meridian HR Services which designs and implements solutions to deal with HR issues to help organisations achieve their corporate goals. She met Sonru CEO Fergal O'Byrne at a recruitment fair and shared a similar vision, and it is thought that her experience in the HR will steer the Enterprise Ireland backed Sonru as it readies itself for international market expansion.

O'Sullivan was also founder and managing director of Eureka, a specialist recruitment, advertising and communications agency, which was subsequently acquired by Monster Worldwide in 2002. She has extensive experience working as an Independent Chairperson on interview panels with the Public Appointments Commission, and also acts as a business mentor on behalf of Dublin City Enterprise Board. In her early career, O'Sullivan held several senior positions within the advertising industry.

Commenting on the announcement, Fergal O'Byrne, CEO of Sonru, who, like O'Sullivan, has been an Enterprise Board mentor, said: "We are excited that Fiona is joining the Board of Sonru.com. She brings a wide range of experience in HR and recruitment including her excellent relationship management and business development skills throughout a long and distinguished career. Her broad range of expertise means she is well equipped to contribute significantly to the ambitious international growth plans we have for Sonru."

Sonru has not said if O'Sullivan's company, Meridian, will also become a promoter to its clients of their video tools platform, although if a deal is struck, it could represent a profitable channel for them.
