InishTech Teams Up with BizSpark
Irish Code Protection and Licensing Company Claims it can Help BizSpark Start-Ups Get to Market More Quickly
InishTech, the Dublin based company that last year "spun out" of the Software Licensing and Protection (SLP) Service, from and which is part owned by Microsoft, has been appointed as a BizSpark Network Partner.
The SLP Service provided by InishTech allows software publishers and ISVs to license products in flexible ways that support and enable new business models, and protects their software investment through code transformation, license compliance and product activation.
ISV startups today face serious challenges. Time-to-market is crucial and a fully featured service such as SLPS can provide a critical time advantage in getting product to market and being agile in responding to the different needs of early stage customers. The benefit of flexible licensing models provides commercial flexibility and can help them sell more of their product or service.
The SLP Service allows ISVs to market multiple configurations of their product depending on customer requirements and supports a range of commercial models including SaaS, time and utility based pricing and evaluation and trial versions, and the company claims that is particularly relevant to ISVs planning to move to a Windows Azure platform.
Cliff Reeves, general manager for Microsoft's Emerging Business Team, said: "New deployment models, such as the Windows Azure platform, provide major opportunities for ISVs. SLP Services can play a significant role in getting products to market quickly and in maximizing the sales potential of these new deployment models without costly or time consuming development effort."
According to Aidan Gallagher (pictured), CEO and co-founder of InishTech, his company has already benefitted with their involvement with the BizSpark program. He said: "We believe our SLP Service is the quickest to deploy, easiest to use and most feature-rich solution in the market today. Our pay-as-you-use model in also particularly attractive for startups. Startups face numerous challenges in getting their business off the ground. They certainly don't want to have to devote valuable resources to non-core activities and this is where SLPS can be a major help."
