Dublin CashIQ - 15,000 Users On First Day

Dublin-based Startup Launches a New Free Online Business Search Engine

Matt Cooper, Paul Byrne and David Malone at the launch of CashIQThey say it's not what you know in business - but WHO you know; and CashIQ, a Dublin based startup aims to prove this with the launch of a new free online listing of all the registered companies in Ireland and the UK.

CashIQ, which has been two years in development gives immediate online access to information covering all registered Irish and UK companies and businesses, including analysed financials based on accounts filed at the companies' registration office, company status, age and group structure, business activity, products and services, contact details, auditors, registered address, bankers, commercial legal judgements, shareholders, and current and past directors.

Since its launch on Wednesday May 9th 2012, CashIQ claims that 15,000 small businesses are already welcoming its service as a ‘shop window' for Irish companies, through which companies and individuals across the world can find potential Irish suppliers or partners, including a company's people, products and services, contact details, websites and social network links. This information is available for over 8 million companies and 15 million directors and business owners in Ireland and the UK.

CashIQ's founder David Malone, says the free service will be a significant business support in the tighter economic climate, when, more than ever, smart selling and buying based on good, reliable information is critical. "Knowledge is power, and CashIQ updates its business intelligence daily; we list over 8 million companies, and, in addition to free information, the service has an inbuilt tracker that allows users to track up to 3 businesses totally free, receiving email alerts when there are important changes in the business.", Malone says.

According to the Managing Director of CashIQ, Paul Byrne, "The ‘freemium' content on CashIQ covers the basics people need, in order to know their customers, and know their suppliers; this covers financial, shareholders, and general company developments. But we also provide premium services which pick-up specific movements, and identify links between businesses and the people who own or run these businesses."

Backed by Enterprise Ireland with private investment in the region of half a million euro, CashIQ's roll-out will involve the creation of up to 45 new jobs over the next three years, in research, IT, and business development, a fact welcomed by Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, at the launch in Dublin's Merrion Hotel.

The startup, headquartered at The Digital Hub, off Crane Street in Dublin, says that they will shortly add social media data, sales prospect lists, and complex tracking services to the website, and will also soon introduce a mobile app download of CashIQ, for business information on the move.
