Announcing The Appys 2012

App Developers and App Publishers are Invited to Enter Their Apps for This Year’s Awards on November 29th 2012

The Appys 2012 is now open for entries. The Appys are the only dedicated awards programme in Ireland for app development and design. Now in its third year, the Appys has grown into the must win awards programme for the app development sector. Entries are open to anyone who has developed or paid for the development of a mobile app, a tablet app, a Facebook or other social media app and a cloud app that is available in Ireland. Entries are invited across all platforms - e.g. iOS, Android, Windows and Cloud.

"This year we are delving into the rich world of social media apps, Facebook apps and cloud apps," says Edward Conmy, event organiser. "Apps are now part of everyday life and are having an impact on the way people share information, entertain themselves, educate themselves, search for things, shop and do business. The quality of apps, across all platforms, now available is staggering. Irish app developers are highly skilled and many of their apps are market leaders," Conmy continues.

"This is year three," says Des Doris, event organiser, "and the awards are going from strength to strength. This year we are moving to a new venue in The Aviva Stadium. The pre-show technology arena will include the latest and greatest mobile devices. It's a night not to miss for anyone interested in the mobile and app development industries."

The media partners for the Appys 2012 are independent.ie and Communicorp Digital and partners currently include Vodafone Ireland and Sony Experia Mobile.

The awards will be held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on November 29th, 2012. This will also be the venue for the gala awards ceremony, where winners will be announced.
