Ethos Technology, a trade only computing distributor, have signed an exclusive distribution agreement with LANCOM Systems a leading German manufacturer of IP-based VoIP, VPN, WAN and WLAN hardware solutions.

The two companies have joined forces to capitalise on the growth in WLAN & VPN communication solutions in Ireland. The deal will allow LANCOM access to increased sales potential through Ethos’s expertise in the IT trade in Ireland.

Commenting on the recent partnership Margaret Higgins, Sales Director of Ethos Technology (pictured left) stated “The distribution landscape in Ireland has changed in recent years. Having a diversified product range is crucial to the future success of our company. The LANCOM suite of products is a great fit for us“.The product range offered by LANCOM Systems will complement Ethos‘s existing range and be a catalyst to open up new opportunities throughout 2009. Unique products such as the recently launched LANCOM 1751 UMTS with UMTS/GPRS/EDGE/ADSL2+ features will allow Ethos to offer their resellers a “zero downtime” WAN connection which is vital for operations such as credit card transaction processing.

LANCOM have enjoyed over 10 years of success in the industry and were recently awarded the Innovation Prize 2008 in the category Storage and Networks.
