Mobile Travel Technologies Set to Take Off With New CFO

Mobile Travel Technology Specialists Hire David Smyth to Help Management Team as Company Continues to Expand



130531_MTT_David_Smyth.jpgMobile Travel Technologies Ltd. (‘MTT’), a mobile travel technology specialist, has today announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, David Smyth, to broaden the management team as the company continues to expand in the mobile travel industry.



Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young, David's 20 years experience of finance, operations and commerce has seem him with a strong track record of delivering shareholder value in privately funded software and technology companies such as Ivron Systems, Similarity Systems and Brown Bag Films.



David spent three years as Chief Financial Officer of Similarity Systems, a Data Quality software company. During his tenure Similarity successfully completed the acquisition of Evoke Software and executed a $55M trade sale to Informatica Corporation.

David has also held senior roles as Investment Director of Mentor Capital, an innovative Venture Capital firm investing in early stage, IP driven technology companies, and as Finance & Operations Director of Ivron Systems, a videoconferencing software and hardware company, he executed a trade sale to a NASDAQ quoted company.



He is a non-exec of Aircraft Management Technologies, Ammeon, Flightman and InishTech, which he co-founded.



David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a Masters in Business Administration.
