DevOps Recruitment Agency Speerhead Pursued by Vodafone Ireland for Alleged Non-Payment of Mobile Phone Debt
Recruitment agency Speerhead Ireland Resourcing, is currently being pursued by Vodafone Ireland's solicitors for an alleged debt of of almost €4000. The substantial debt has accrued for mobile phone costs over a period of approximately one year. It is understood that draft legal proceedings have already been issued calling on the company to immediately settle.
Speerhead Ireland Resourcing is a subsidiary of Speerhead UK (@Speerheadr), headquartered in Maidenhead, Berkshire which was founded in 2013 by Richard Banks (pictured below) and Paul Speers (pictured right) who is also named Director of the Irish subsidiary.
According to documents obtained from Ireland's Companies Registration Office, Speerhead applied for Voluntary Strike-Off which was subsequently rejected due to a third-party objection. It is unclear whether the objection was made by Vodafone Ireland or by other parties. It is also understood that Speerhead ran an operation in the Nordics which has also ceased trading.
Vodafone Ireland told IrishDev.com that it did not comment on specific cases, however a spokesperson said that the communication provider "endeavours to reach solutions with companies that are unable or unwilling to pay their accounts", and "where a solution is not reached or engagement is not forthcoming it is left with no alternative other than to rigorously pursue debts through legal action." The spokesperson added that it was regrettable when companies allowed their dealings to reach this point and that pursuing debtors through legal action was a last resort.
According to Speerhead's recruitment website, it plays on strong relationships with DevOp vendors such as Puppet Labs (@puppetize) , SumoLogic, Chef (@Chef), Sonatype, Mid Vision, Datacore (@DataCore) and BrambleKnowledge.
Speerhead declined to comment.
