Irish IT security company Espion has achieved ISO 27001 certification for its Dublin-based dedicated Computer Forensic laboratory.

International standard ISO 27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) that demonstrates compliance to a detailed set of specific security controls and establishes a framework for information security that conforms to best practice.

"Espion's Computer Forensics division has undergone a stringent audit in the past months in order to achieve this coveted international standard and we are delighted to have achieved this high level of recognition. It is an extremely important achievement and it is measure of our service commitment to our clients," says Colm Murphy, technical director with Espion. (Pictured)

Espion operates a dedicated computer forensic laboratory in Dublin, equipped with the most up-to-date forensic equipment. Espion's forensic laboratory is now the only computer forensic laboratory in Ireland certified to the ISO 27001 standard for Information Security, ensuring confidential data is secured to the highest possible benchmark. This independently validated certification is coupled with the company's existing ISO 9001:2000 certified Quality Management System.
