Perforce SCM versions and manages source code and digital assets. This release introduces features that benefit both project managers and developers. Release managers can create and maintain multiple code lines from within Eclipse with the same convenience and ease they have come to expect from the Perforce Visual Client, P4V. Additionally, new support
for Eclipse's Synchronize View enables developers to quickly understand the state of files on their desktop compared to those in the Perforce Depot.

"This release underscores Perforce's continued commitment to the Eclipse community," said Alan Teague, development manager for integrations at Perforce Software. "We've put a lot of effort into extending the functionality of this plug-in and are confident developers will bepleased with the significant performance improvements."

Highlights of the Perforce Plug-in for Eclipse include:

• A new preview feature enables users to better create and manage branches. Users can use the new Integrate dialog to view the consequences of an integration prior to check-in.

• Users can merge multiple files from within the enhanced Resolve dialog. Multiple automated merge algorithms are available along with an interactive option using Eclipse's built-in graphical merge tool.

• New Synchronize View organises incoming, outgoing and conflicting changes for Perforce managed projects in a single view.

• Performance enhancements enable users to continue working uninterrupted when synchronising large numbers of files from the depot.
