Financial software specialist, CODA Group, has launched its much awaited CODA 2go Spring '09 accounting Software as a Service (SaaS). It is the second release of CODA 2go and now offers a complete accounting application covering general ledger accounting, user defined budgets and spreadsheet integration, as well as full accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing functionality.

Jeremy Roche, CEO of Accounting Software Company CODA Group. The release of CODA 2go Spring '09 is built on the Salesforce.com Force.com platform and signals many benefits for both company's customers

Significantly, the product is built 100% natively on Force.com, salesforce.com's cloud computing platform, and becomes the first accounting solution that works seamlessly with Salesforce CRM.

CODA 2go and Salesforce CRM running on the Force.com cloud computing platform and leveraging the same shared infrastructure means that users make the most of customer relationships from making initial contact to ensuring smooth accounting processes and accurate invoicing. It will help companies leverage valuable data across customer services, sales and accounting, giving a 360 degree view of the business at a time when cash flow has never been more important.

"We've been thrilled with the pace at CODA have delivered innovation and customer success on Force.com. They brought vast experience in accounting and financials to cloud computing, and CODA 2go gives customers a best-in-class accounting application in the cloud that doesn't require them to manage and maintain complex client/server infrastructure," said Steve Lucas, senior vice president, Force.com marketing and AppExchange, salesforce.com

CODA customer remotemedia agreed. CEO Jason Cremins said, "We've been impressed by what CODA has achieved in such a short space of time. Building on Force.com has clearly worked to their advantage as CODA 2go and Salesforce CRM work together seamlessly.

The latest release offers all the accounting functionality we need and works easily with our own Force.com solution, signagelive.com, a SaaS Digital Signage solution for revenue recognition. Working closely with CODA and salesforce.com we have been able to run our entire business operation in the cloud which is critical to our global business strategy."

CODA, part of Unit 4 Agresso NV, was founded in 1979. It creates, markets and implements a comprehensive range of software systems designed specifically to meet the needs of Financial Directors and Finance Departments. These include financial management systems, analysis applications, and business process management and control software to implement compliance solutions. Its service oriented architecture also makes CODA software easy for clients and other vendors to integrate with their business applications.

CEO Jeremy Roche (pictured above) said, "This is the CODA 2go release that many have been waiting for. It is simple to set up and use and cost effective to run, and for many companies and subsidiaries, will better meet their accounting requirements than on-premises software."

He added, "We expect it to quickly become the de facto cloud accounting solution for salesforce.com customers, as well as those companies that are looking for an on demand accounting application that is more sophisticated than others on the market, without the complexity and cost that often implies."
