Inspired Software and Services have become the first company in Ireland to offer Microsoft's new Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) to make communications and collaboration software available online for a low monthly fee.
Inspired, a young and innovative company will be offering the solution to companies who are looking to use the latest versions of Microsoft's Exchange, SharePoint, Communicator and Live Meeting products hosted by Microsoft in their Dublin based data centres, and is designed to give businesses streamlined communication with high availability, comprehensive security and simplified IT management.
Inspired recommended the solution to The Chernobyl Children's Project International as a means of cost reduction and allowing the team to communicate more effectively and efficiently with their wide network of volunteers and members.
Eamon Breen, Co-Founder and Director of Inspired (pictured left of co-founder William Connor) which began operating in September 2008, says, "Many smaller firms want to enable their staff to save time and money by using the latest technology, but the complexity and cost required to realize these solutions can make them prohibitive. With the current economy, especially, our customers want solutions that start paying back immediately and are not costly to implement."
"BPOS is the perfect solution for The Chernobyl Children's Project International. They came to us because they needed an online solution where they could communicate with their 2000 plus volunteers and provide their members with marketing materials for events and fundraisers"
As part of the package the team at Inspired set up an extranet that runs from the Microsoft server eliminating the onsite aspect of building and setting up a server. Using SharePoint Online, the solution allows the Chernobyl Children's Project's 2,000 fundraisers and volunteers to share documents, tasks, images, guidelines, vendor resources, lists, calendars and other planning and organizing tools resulting in saved time and money for the project.
"As a charity, we just don't have the resources to invest in needed technology, so we were very excited to learn about Microsoft Online Services," says Miriam Forde, Fundraising and Communications Manager for Chernobyl Children's Project International.
"Our volunteers are the bedrock of our organization. Their time is precious, and we want to help them be as efficient as possible. Now they can more easily share ideas, get the information they need to make fast decisions, and eliminate wasted time and duplicate efforts," she added.
Richard Moore, Business Manager, Information Worker, Microsoft Ireland, "BPOS will help businesses to compete effectively, because it reduces costs by helping to eliminate unnecessary travel costs, improves team working and communication which also increases productivity. It is ideally suited to The Chernobyl Children's Project International, who were up and running quickly, giving them immediate access to the service. The service level agreement is guaranteed by Microsoft and the productivity savings are immense."
