New Chairman Elected for IT@Cork

Cork based IT Association Appoints Tom Moore, Chris Murphy and Lucy McMullen to Its Board

it@cork, the networking organisation for IT professionals and businesses in the Cork region has elected Tom Moore as Chairperson of its Board.

Tom is Director of InfraSee, an IT Service Management and SaaS Partnering Service and was previously an IT Director for Motorola. He has been on the it@cork steering committee for the last four years and said of his appointment, "It's a great honour to be given an opportunity to drive and steer it@cork through what is a challenging time for all of our members."

The organisation provides training, seminars, networking events and an annual conference for its 280 corporate members. Although in existence for the last 11 years this 'not-for-profit' only recently became a limited company. it@cork hope that with legal status will come opportunities to collaborate with a wider variety of organisations and to act as a partner in European programmes that benefit members.

Moore added, "I would like provide increased representation for it@cork members within business and ICT consultation groups and to help to develop partnerships between member companies."

Also elected were Chris Murphy of EMC as Vice-Chair and Lucy McMullen of SOTA as Treasurer.
