Intel Ships ESET Antivirus Software

ESET Smart Security to be Distributed with Intel branded Executive Series Boards and Media Series from Q1 2010

Chipmaker Intel is to distribute ESET security software products with Intel branded desktop motherboards starting in Q1 2010. As a result of the distribution agreement, Intel Desktop Boards will include either a 45-day or one-year product license for ESET Smart Security. ESET will ship exclusively with new Intel® Executive Series Boards and will be the primary antivirus solution on Intel's new Media Series motherboards shipping worldwide

ESET Smart Security is an integrated antivirus, antispyware, antispam and personal firewall solution that combines accuracy, speed and a small system footprint. It, and stable mate ESET NOD32 Antivirus, are powered by ThreatSense® technology, an advanced heuristics engine which decode and analyze executable code in real-time, using an emulated environment. Both utilise an efficient code base, it means faster scanning that doesn't slow down computers or networks.
