Strategic Messaging Win Bolsters Jinny Software's Position Across The Americas
Jinny Software, a Dublin-based supplier of messaging and media platforms to mobile network operators, has won a deal with a leading American telecoms supplier which means that Jinny's Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) platform will host multiple wireless carriers from a single platform across the Americas.
The Jinny SMSC platform will be located at a data hosting centre in Texas and will host software for mobile operators in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean, enabling them to rapidly deploy SMS services. The deal, which was announced at the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, also sees the conclusion of a comprehensive supplier agreement between Jinny Software and the US-based supplier .
Jinny's platform was selected for its ability to support multiple wireless carriers in several countries across the Americas region. Its capability to distribute ‘demand-based' capacity among the various instances on a single SMSC and its excellent scalability to support the growth of the various wireless networks into the future, were also key to its win.
Fintan Supple, Jinny's Americas Regional Sales Director (pictured) said: "We are delighted to announce this latest strategic win, which bolsters our position in the Americas market. The selection of our messaging platform for the specific requirements of a hosted environment is testament to the flexibility of our solutions."
Jinny Software offers a comprehensive range of messaging, call & media and mobile advertising solutions. Its Messaging solutions drive increased efficiency in traffic management and enable the rapid introduction of secure, innovative and revenue-generating services.
The platform will initially support WCDMA networks currently being rolled out across the region, but all technology types can be supported.
The solution enables the supplier's local wireless carrier clients to provide SMS services to their subscribers, offering them the ability to manage SMS service subscriptions, billing and customer support, without the carriers having to go to the expense or complexity of installing the system in-house.
The platform offers the carrier a faster time to market in introducing text messaging and ensures reduced cost of ownership with greater flexibility. The supplier needed a product that was robust, feature rich, highly scalable and capable of supporting several carriers from a remote location with an individual instance per carrier. Jinny's SMSC was an excellent fit for the needs of their clients and for their hosting centre requirements.
Jinny's Call & Media solutions exploit the potential of call-related services, driving revenue opportunities for carriers through attractive subscriber services and increasing the profitability of voice services.
Jinny's Mobile Advertising Solution enables both operators and advertising agencies to efficiently implement their critical mobile marketing and advertising strategies.
Implementation, project management, support and training is provided by Jinny's service teams located in Brazil, Ireland, Kenya, UAE, Panama and Malaysia. Jinny operates from its headquarters in Dublinand throughoffices across the globe.
