Partners Launch Dynamic Pricing Service at Mobile World Congress 2010.
Limerick-based Tango Telecom, a leading provider of advanced messaging, real-time charging and policy control solutions for mobile operators, has announced a partnership with UK based Aircom as they jointly launched their Dynamic Pricing Service at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona.
Their innovative pricing solution will enable mobile operators to optimise the price of Voice and Data services dynamically, based on location, cell load, time of day, subscriber type, subscriber activity and other criteria.
Tango Telecom's Rory O'Toole, VP of Global Channel Sales (Pictured) explained: "Our Dynamic Pricing solution was developed to meet key challenges faced by mobile operators operating in highly price sensitive markets, who need to offer pricing plans that literally change dynamically with cell load. "The system is proven to both grow revenues and smooth network traffic through the day".
"It greatly stimulates subscriber usage at off peak times and allows the operator to differentiate themselves in highly competitive environments. As a bonus, the Dynamic Pricing solution dynamically frees up bandwidth to allow the operator capture further revenues, particularly at peak times from higher ARPU users. It's a winning solution all round," O 'Toole explains.
Operators using it will profit from reduced churn and network congestion and increased total revenues from existing network infrastructure investments, while subscribers will benefit from an improved quality of service and highly discounted call rates .
"Now is the time that operators need to extract the maximum revenue possible from their networks," said Darryl Edwards, CEO of AIRCOM. "The challenge is to give subscribers the best possible quality of service, and dynamic pricing can make the difference between being the market leader, or being just another operator."
