BearingPoint EuroBoard Adds Irish 

 The Managing Director of BearingPoint Ireland Joins the IT Consultancy's European Board.

Peter Minogue, the managing director of BearingPoint Ireland, has been elected out of 120 partners to the ten person European board that leads the  group.

BearingPoint is an independent management and technology consultancy which is owned and operated by its partners throughout Europe.

Last year the company  announced a Management Buyout (MBO)  which created a new European group employing 3,250 people in 14 European countries and has revenues of more than €500m.

Mr Minogue  (Pictured) and  the Irish head of financial services,  Martin McKenna have also taken an equity stake in the  new  operation, which serves  commercial, financial and public services clients.

BearingPoint employs approximately 200 people in Ireland, where its key specialisation is Agile Development, a technology process  designed to deliver IT  projects faster and more cost effectively than traditional software implementations. BearingPoint Ireland generated annual turnover of €30m in 2008.

Minogue joined BearingPoint in 2006 from Cap Gemini. Prior to that he worked with IBM for 15 years. He began his career in the Civil Service as an auditor in the Comptroller and Auditor General's Office.
