Datapac Creates10 New Jobs
New Technical, Support and Customer Service Positions As Q4 2009 Results Beat Expectations
Datapac, Ireland's largest indigenous ICT solutions provider, has announced the creation of ten new jobs at its Dublin and Wexford bases, following a successful last quarter in 2009 when sales exceeded the company's expectations by 11%.
Datapac has been providing information technologies, business solutions and IT consumables to the Irish market for 28 years. A strong finish to 2009, coupled with a solid sales pipeline for 2010, has encouraged Datapac to further invest in its customer service capabilities.
This expansion follows the recruitment of 14 additional employees over the last three months and will add significant extra depth to Datapac's client services capability. The new roles will include technical, support and customer service positions and recruitment will start immediately.
Datapac director Patrick Kickham said:"We continue to invest in the company to ensure that we have the capacity and expertise to match the evolving needs of our customers. We've always differentiated ourselves by continually developing the skillset of our employees, and we believe that Datapac can add real value and gain competitive advantage by offering levels of service that are unmatched in the industry."
"By recruiting new talent with the right level of experience and technical knowledge, we will increase our market share and grow the business at this very opportune time, with the market showing signs of recovery," Kickham continued.
Donal Berry, Datapac unified communications group manager said: "We are very excited with our prospects and pipeline for 2010. We see great opportunities for our unified communications, virtualisation and managed services offerings.
"With our investment strategy, experience and market focus, Datapac is uniquely positioned to capitalise on the growing demand for these technologies in 2010," said Berry.
Datapac is in operation since 1982 and has offices in Dublin, Wexford and Belfast. It has over 150 employees and more than 6,000 customers.
