WorldNet Announces Europe's First iPhone Virtual Terminal Allowing Merchants to Accept Secure Card Payment Transactions
WorldNet, the secure online payment provider based in the Media Cube, Dun Laoghaire, has launched its iPhone ‘Virtual Terminal' card payment facility, the first in Europe it claims.
The application processes credit cards securely over the 3G or WiFi Network and is compatible with Apple's iPhone 3G or iPod Touch technology and with Vodafone due to join O2 as an iPhone service provider later this month, WorldNet will have access to over 500,000 potential business users for the iPhone Virtual Terminal application, in the Ireland and the UK.
WorldNet is a secure Online Payments Gateway which provides a range of secure card payment processing services to businesses selling online, through call centres and mobile phone in Ireland, UK and mainland Europe. It was founded in 2007 with its principals heralding from euroConex Technologies Ltd (now Elavon Merchant Services). Chief Executive, Will Byrne said "The launch of the first ‘Virtual Terminal' application for the iPhone is another example of the success of our strategy to achieve market differentiation through product innovation.
