Twitter's Jack D Attends Founders 

Unique Fringe Event Provides Forum for Ireland's Tech Entrepreneurs & IDA / EI Platform to Showcase the Best of Irish



TWITTER_Jack_Dorsey.jpgRunning concurrently with the Dublin Web Summit in late October, will be a unique conference aimed at presenting Ireland as a leading smart economy and destination for the world's new wave of high tech companies.



The fringe event called 'Founders' which will be attended by 100 invited guests and several founders from the world's leading technology companies including Jack Dorsey of Twitter, Niklas Zennstrom of Skype, and Michael Breidenbruecker of



Founders will provide a opportunity for Ireland's technology entrepreneurs to discuss a range of issues and also serve as a platform for the IDA and Enterprise Ireland to showcase Ireland and Ireland's technology companies to the likes of Dorsey, Zennstrom and Breidenbruecker.



The conference is a collaboration between a group of leading young tech company founders including Paddy Cosgrave (Organiser of the Dublin Web Summits) Eamonn Fallon (Daft Media), Dylan Collins (Jolt Online) and Iain MacDonald (Weedle).



So far, keynote speakers include Dr. Justin Lin, Chief Economist of the World Bank, and Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament. An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen T.D., Barry O'Leary, CEO IDA Ireland and Frank Ryan, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, will also address the group.



Commenting about the event, Barry O'Leary, said, "Ireland is gaining an increasing reputation as being the ‘Internet Capital of Europe'. Our recently published strategy document ‘Horizon 2020' sets out an objective for an earlier engagement with emerging technology companies. Founders is the ideal opportunity to showcase the best of what Ireland has to offer and an excellent forum for the IDA to engage with the CEOs of many of the world's fastest growing technology companies and to share insights on future trends."



Frank Ryan added, "This is a unique opportunity to put our best foot forward. We look forward to engaging with and making a positive impression on the CEOs of many of the world's fastest growing technology companies. We also look forward to connecting many of our leading indigenous entrepreneurs with these founders and international investors."
